!!!! Oh, so not a fun gift, but a very thoughtful one! How kind of Natsuno to give one to Mizuki. He looks it over for a moment. Based on how Natsuno’s describing it, he does, in fact, get that video game vibe from it, and sort of figures it’s a one time use thing. Thus, drink it all. He gets it. However, his “fond of poison” comment gives Mizuki pause for a moment, before he looks up with a little smile. ]

Oh, I never gave you one of my antidotes, did I? This seems much more useful, especially if it works for any poison or aliment, but… it might be handy for you to have!

[Antidotes...? Oh yeah, jellyfish. Toxins.]

Thanks, but I don't need it. I'm immune to poison.

[As well as disease, drugs and alcohol. There's a reason the captain decided to label him a "dumb baby."]

[ Huh. That would explain why Clarke didn’t much care to name Natsuno when he offered vials to hand out. He just assumed maybe they were friends at the time or something? ]

… you’re full of surprises, huh, Yuuki? Anyway, thank you for the gift! If you don’t mind my asking, how many others did Mr. Jade get?

Nine. [Two in the original package, and seven copies created by fomicry. Apparently Jade could've created endless copies back in his reality but hear, for some reason, it was limited...] He let me have four.

[Clarke, Mizuki, Lumine and Rita. Pal is on Jade's list, which works out nicely. All the people Natsuno cares about will be better protected.]

[ Natsuno… you're so sweet. He deserves more hugs, honestly, but Mizuki's not going to push his luck. ]

Are you keeping one for yourself?

[He shakes his head.]

Like I said, I don't need it. I heal from most things, and what doesn't heal - [He shrugs] will kill me pretty much immediately.

Well, sure, okay… [ He did see the Ebalon fight after all, but… ] But what if you need it because someone nearby is going through the motions? What if you need it because the Captain creates some Yuuki specific poison — that seems like something he could do.

I… I’ll be fine! [ He will graciously hold the bottle out to Natsuno again. ] I’m pretty good at staying out of trouble, and if I’m not, Ebalon can cure poisons and such, no problem~!

[Natsuno scowls, looking from the bottle to Mizuki's face. He really wasn't expecting anyone to refuse something so useful.]

The captain put a bomb in my collar, back on the island. I doubt the he'll make an effort to create a special poison for me when he can go for the easy solution.

[He doesn't bother to address the bit about other people. All of Natsuno's friends are getting bottles, so why should he care about some hypothetical stranger?]

Ebalon didn't cure the poison in the collars. [Mostly because he's a sadistic psychopath, but surely he'd at least heal himself or Mizuki?] Keep it. If you'll decide someone else needs it more, you can always give it to them.

[Natsuno won't like it, but he doesn't believe in gifts with strings attached.]

[ Self-esteem issues are a bitch, aren't they? ]

Oh. [ Had Natsuno mentioned that before? He thinks he has, because it sounds familiar, but maybe he had heard it in passing or something. He'd forgotten it now, all the same, so… hm. ] R-right. And you mentioned that the Captain doesn't like when his poisons don't work, too… [ At the info share all that time ago… Mizuki had never made himself known since, at the time, Jinx was very On Sight for him, but he managed to give a gander to that clipboard while he did the very normal thing of keeping himself camouflaged around the room.

But that meant that Ebalon's magic probably wouldn't work on his poisons, right? Giving him the ability to do that seems counterproductive, when he has the capability to put them back together with pieces of themselves missing and such… He frowns a bit at the bottle, but pulls it back to him. ]

Is… there any specific way to store 'em? I know some of these things need cooler temperatures, or can't be in direct sunlight, or some such…

[The scowl smooths back to a neutral expression when Mizuki pulls the bottle back, and Natsuno nods.]

Friday told me that, and the captain all but confirmed it when he admitted to add an insulting writing to my collar out of pettiness. So we should use everything we can to ruin his "games."

[As for how to store the bottle:] It doesn't matter how you store it, but keep it hidden and don't talk about it outside the cabins. We don't know when the captain will decide to listen in.

There is one condition, though - you have to drink it all at once for it to work, so no sharing or saving some for later.

Well, I think he might pay only very little attention to things. I don’t think he quite has that omnipotence thing down, just because… if he did, I feel like he’d realize that Friday is giving us some of these gifts by now.

[ He gestures to the bottle. And, like, most of the things Mizuki has received at this point, honestly. Sans the box of elder god flesh he got, uh, that was a little fucked and he thinks was maybe not from Friday… ]

I figured. These sorts of things usually come with it’s full dosage.

Are you sure that you want to use one of your four on me…? You really don’t want to keep it?

Yes, I'm sure.

[The frown is coming back. It's not like Natsuno can't use another bottle, keep it in a pocket or give it to Clarke or Rita for extra protection - but Mizuki is also his friend. "Someone else may need it" isn't good enough for Natsuno to take it back.]

If I wasn't, I wouldn't invite you over in the first place.

Well, th-that's true, but… [ It's not that Mizuki isn't appreciative. Quite the opposite, he is incredibly touched that Natsuno thought of him enough to want to give him something like this. But that way of thinking collides harshly with Mizuki's low self-preservation in lieu of other "more important" people.

Oh well. It's fine. He won't argue with Natsuno anymore. He seems like he's getting frustrated, and… Mizuki is truly touched that he'd been given something so useful by someone he cares about. ]

Thank you, Yuuki… ah, I'll give you something in return for this, okay?

[He shrugs.] If you want. But don't feel obliged to.

[Just putting it out there, since Mizuki still looks like he's feeling guilty. Natsuno then angles a curious look at the bag of games.]

I don't, don't worry. It's just also fun to be able to share games with friends.

[ Mizuki holds out one of his consoles to Natsuno with a grin. ] I'm not sure how modern your world is, but I have a few that you might enjoy playing~! I have a few to pick from on this console. Do you like psychological horror? Shooters? Survival games?

[Dryly:] I'm from 1994, if it means anything.

[Who knows how they count years on Terra. Natsuno still has a CD player, if that's any indication.]

I like puzzles and strategy. [Shooters are better with company.] Horror's fine if it has a mystery.

It doesn't~. [ He's not from Earth, technically. Arguments to be made that Terra is just AU Earth, but… ] Oh! I have a bunch of those, too. [ Ebalon likes to play those, too. He's not going to point that out to Natsuno, though. ]

My favorite games are retro, personally, but I'll play pretty much anything. You already know my all time fave is Pac-Man. Would you like to play Puyo Puyo, maybe~? Or, um, [ Mizuki pulls up whatever the equivalence of "Portal 2" is on Terra. ] We could play this! If you like puzzle games and cooperative play, it might tickle your fancy.

I already know Puyo Puyo.

[Something new is preferable.]

But I've never tried cooperative before. [He either played by himself, or competed with Tohru.] Let's try that one.
