CHARACTER
Name: Mizuki
True Name: Mizuki
Canon: Arknights (Post Dossoles Holiday event, when Mizuki joins Rhodes Island)
Age: 19
History: Wiki! For his history, read "Archive 1" and "Archive 2". There's also two paragraphs of additional info under the "Overview" tab at the top!
Powers/Abilities: Mizuki is a jellyfish variant of an Aegir (or Ægir), a sea faring species of Terra. He can do things such as breathe underwater and swim exceptionally. While he can also breathe on land perfectly fine, being out of water for too long can dry out his skin.
Mizuki can summon various tentacles, all very jellyfish-like in nature, that at first seem to flicker in and out of existence. They don't seem real, at first, like it's illusory, or maybe like he might just be driving you mad, but... they are very real. And they are alarmingly powerful. Mizuki has been told to not show this side of him, so he avoids bringing them out if at all possible. At least, around where people/cameras can see. If he's alone with his target, then all bets are off. He's implied to devour the people that he captures and has classified as "evil".
While his tendrils may not be illusory, Mizuki does have the ability to cause hallucinations, and disrupt vision, hearing, and tactile perception. He's been known, in some cases, to drive some people completely mad because of this. It is not something he uses all that often, as it's usually just easier for him to use other methods. But something of note is that it is not "magical" in any nature, but biological. (Toxins, perhaps? He is a jellyfish.)
Other than that, Mizuki is very agile, and nine times out of ten is just going to use his incredible agility to wear his foes out rather than try to fight them if they are not his "targets". If the going gets too tough, he can also squeeze himself into tight places quickly and with ease, and seemingly disappear altogether.
Inventory: His umbrella and generic handheld video games.
Job History:
Suppressions:
Greatest Fear: Mizuki thinks his biggest fear is following someone evil, or being evil himself, but... it's to witness the death of whoever his obsession may be (currently, it's the Doctor, but he's liable to latch onto someone in game)
Greatest Desire: To purge the world of all evil.
Greatest Regret: Not being strong enough to save his hometown.

Job History:
Chef's Apprentice
Responsibilities: Mostly, as he was in training, it was to learn how to cook, learn the intricacies of dining, and take orders of his would-be customers.
Skills: Mizuki was (and still is) an incredibly gifted cook. He picked up everything naturally and with ease. He understands what flavors and spices go well together, and he also even taught himself a way, in his own words, "to eliminate all fishy odor from food, preserve their vitality, and seasoned to perfection." However, something is always off about his dishes. Although they make no sounds and do not move, for some reason, they almost seem... alive? Because of this, people are generally put off from his eating his food. Those brave enough to try it anyway acclaim that the flavors are wonderful and the dish even invigorates them in both energy and mood.
Retro Game Store Clerk
Responsibilities: Exceptional customer service, learning about the various games within the store so he may inform customers about them, and the usual spiel of working in retail.
Skills: Mizuki absolutely fell in love with video games while he worked here. While retro games are still his favorite, he did branch out and start learning about other games in general, as well as taking a liking to manga as well. He learned from them how to tell a good story, admiring the effort that game makers put into their creations. Furthermore, while Mizuki does not realize it, they have also helped give him the confidence to begin making him a more independent person, as video games allow the player to... well, go back and fix their decisions if they aren't happy with them. Bonus! His polite attitude was an absolute hit with customers. His poor problem-solving skills... not so much.
Rhodes Island "Mercenary"
Responsibilities:Protect civilians, enforce rights for the Infected, be reliable, and help your fellow squadmates in time of battle.Do not draw attention. Only help from the shadows. Above all, listen to the Doctor.
Skills: Mizuki is well adept on a battlefield. It's easy for him to silently take out priority targets. He not only seems more than happy to follow orders, but craves them. He will also go out of his way to help protect those who are unable to do so themselves, even without orders, which is a respectable quality to have.
Suppressions:
Becoming a Seaborn - Unbeknownst to Mizuki, he was fed the cells of Seaborns (A violent, monstrous race that have a hive mind and no sense of individuality) which has caused him to be a messy amalgamation of Aegir and Seaborn. Because of this, he is incredibly dependent on people to make decisions for him, and more importantly, to repress this side of him he isn't even aware needs to be repressed. This, in the end, has three ways it could go. The neutral route of him just... staying this incomplete, dependent mess of an amalgamation, with no true decision making skills on his own. The bad route of him giving in the call of the Sea Terror, and truly becoming a violent monster. Or... the good route of him receiving the proper encouragement to have free thoughts of his own, and truly choose who he, himself, wants to become.
Sense of oneness - Because Mizuki shares a similiar mindset to that of a Seaborn, and yet not part of any sort of hivemind, he longs for that feeling of oneness. In itself, it's not so bad, but his wants go a bit darker when it comes to whoever he obsesses over-- the person he looks up to, the one who does good, the "hero"... If he wants to be like that person, it only makes sense to be one with that person, right? He wouldn't need to make decisions then. They'd be their decisions. And... maybe... he just wants to feel closer to them? Since he's unaware that he's a Seaborn hybrid, he doesn't seem to notice that this feeling is not universal, and believes it's perfectly normal to think like this. Alas, he has never acted on it, though he will voice his opinions.
I'm not a hero, but I long to be... - Mizuki does not think he's a just person. However, he does want people to be safe and happy. To him, the only way to accomplish this is by getting rid of all the "bad guys." While a hero might think people, no matter how evil, can change, Mizuki... isn't convinced. He is thoroughly convinced that bad people will never change. However, he understands that him trying to be some kind of vigilante would go horribly wrong, especially since Mizuki has a hard time discerning people's true natures. So, instead, he represses this by following the orders of his obsession. After all, if he's taking care of the bad guys and making his anchor happy, than isn't it much better this way?
Greatest Fear: Mizuki thinks his biggest fear is following someone evil, or being evil himself, but... it's to witness the death of whoever his obsession may be (currently, it's the Doctor, but he's liable to latch onto someone in game)
